‘Cruising for A Cause’ To Raise Money for Charity

On Dec. 1, generous guests will board a fancy limousine and cruise down PGA Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens, stopping off at some of the strip’s finest restaurants for samplings and libations.

“Cruising for A Cause” is a charitable event that will raise money for the CJ Scholarship Program. The CJ Scholarship Program is a CJ Foundation initiative to help children with Autism whose parents otherwise cannot afford treatment.

Guests will gather at PGA National in the famed iBAR, and cocktail attire is required. At each restaurant, a story about a different child in Palm Beach County with autism will be told. “Cruising for A Cause” will conclude back at PGA National with a late-night reception and a charity raffle for a Caribbean cruise.

Christmas Trees for Sale at ‘Big Holiday Event’ on Dec. 1

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Palm Beach and Martin Counties will celebrate its “Big Holiday Event” on Dec. 1 at Downtown at the Gardens in Palm Beach Gardens.

It marks the second year of the “Big Holiday Event,” during which the organizations raffles off Christmas trees to raise money for its extensive children’s programming.

Children’s choruses from local schools will fill their air with songs and perform choreography, and special holiday cards will be sold, as well. The “Big Holiday Event” runs from 3 to 7 p.m., and Santa Claus is sure to make an appearance.

Downtown at the Gardens is off PGA Boulevard near several residential neighborhoods on a centrally located piece of Palm Beach Gardens property.
